When Is the Best Time to Travel to Iran?

Spring and fall are the most pleasant times to visit Iran. The country enjoys a highly variable climate, ranging from very hot at the height of summer to quite cold during the relatively short winter months. By mid-March the cold season has generally passed, and the weather can be expected to range from the low 10c to the mid 20c. As summer progresses daytime temperatures can reach into the mid 32c or low 37c, with July and August generally being the hottest, sunniest, driest months; at night it doesn’t cool off much and can still be in the 30c.

Is It Possible to Drink Alcoholic Drink in Iran?

Alcohol of any sort is strictly forbidden in Iran. Everyone needs to obey the role.

Do Americans Need a Visa to Travel to Iran?

Yes, U.S. citizens require a passport and visa to enter Iran. Issuance of an Iranian visa requires an invitation letter which we will apply for it on your behalf. How Will Americans Get Their Visa While There Is No Iranian Embassy in United States?

Iranian Interest Section at the Pakistan Embassy is the first and available place to obtain an Iranian visa. Second choice is Iranian consulate aboard. For more information read visa section.

PAYMENT

What Type of Payments Do You Accept?

We accept only cash in Euro and Dollars not Rials.

When Is My Final Payment Due?

Final Payment is due 40 days prior to departure.

How Should I Do the Tour Payments?

We accept bank drafts and money orders. Your deposit should be paid firstly that is followed by the reaming balance in a single payment 40 days before your tour’s commencement, the entire amount must be paid at time. As you know the deposit portion is non-refundable.

When Will I Receive My Tour Documents From Dana Trips?

You will receive final instructions, hotel lists, e-tickets and information approximately 2-3 weeks prior to departure.

What Travel Documents for Traveling to Iran?

What Are Optional Tours?

Series of optional tours will be available for purchase from your tour guide while on the tour – they can be purchased before the tour starts. You are under no obligation to take any, they are strictly optional. Depending on the tour, if you avail yourself of all optional , the total cost will be about €20 to €100. Please note that you can pay in dollars too.

Are Tips Included?

Tips for luggage handling, doormen and housekeepers are included; tips for tour guides, local guides, restaurant personnel and bus drivers are not. Such gratuities should be extended on a voluntary, individual basis. The SUGGESTED tip for a tour guide is $30-40 per day per person and for a bus driver and local guide is $20-30 per day. If you travel with a driver-guide an average of payment between guide and driver could be accepted.

Are There Any Restriction For Any Applicants Who Want to Take Part in Tours?

Any applicant under 18 must travel with his/her parents or at least one of them and share room with them. Most of Dana Trips are cultural and full of sightseeing and description, which in case parents are in charge to ready their children for this circumstances.

How Much Is the Degree of Activity on DANA Tours?

For anyone who takes part at Dana trips it is necessary to read all documents carefully and ask Dana’s consultants any vague parts. These documents leads to a better imagination of everyday activity on the tours. Everyday walking is defined on the package. Surely, you need to be ready for days with lots of walking, staying on your feet, carry your own luggage and stuffs.

Are Flights Included in Price Tour?

No international flights are included. If you are interested Dana provide your ticket, contact your travel consultant that will assist you with that. Also we are member of IATA with approval code of 33217214.

How Do I Register For a Tour?

It is simple. Complete the reservation form and send it Dana’s consultant. Then let us do the rest!

How Many Pieces of Luggage Can I Bring With Me?

Each tour member is limited to one large suitcase and small carry-on bag due to limited space on our buses. The airlines are charging extra fees for checked luggage. The luggage should not weigh more than 30 kg (different capacity for different airlines). Carry- on bag should not exceed 45 inches total and no more than 11 lbs.

CURRENCY IN IRAN

Can I Get Money Out of ATM Machines In Iran? Can I Use Credit Cards In Iran?

Iranian banks are also subject to international sanctions. So although Iran is full of banks and ATM machines, you won’t be able to get money out at any of them with your ATM card. Bring U.S. dollars or Euros and exchange them in major cities at official exchange outlets.

PRE, POST OR ON A TOUR

Is Smoking Allowed On the Dana Trips Buses?

There is a no smoking policy on our buses but there are plenty of opportunities to smoke during the frequent stops. You are not also allowed to smoke anywhere indoors where other members of tour present.

Can I Request Special Dietary Meals?

Yes, please advise at time of booking if you require special meals. Dana Trips tries to arrange the special meals for you.

Can I Travel With a Wheelchair?

We allow collapsible wheelchairs on our tours. We regret that we cannot provide individual assistance to a tour member for walking or getting on and off motor coach’s or other transportation vehicles. Travelers who need such assistance must be accompanied by a qualified companion.

Can I Request Certain Seats On the Plane?

Seats are assigned by Dana Trips as a courtesy at time of ticketing. If you have special requests, please call the airline directly after receiving your airline tickets. Please note that the airline can change your seats at any time.

Can Americans Travel Independently In Iran?

The Iranian government requires that all American tourists travel with a private guide or group tour. Your Iranian guide will be specially authorized to guide American citizens and should be aware of any relevant Iranian government regulations. Do NOT be deterred by this requirement. You can enjoy your trip as you like, stroll in the historic bazaars or make connections with people.
